Powered & Unpowered Sites

At Stuart Range Caravan Park we have 160+ powered and unpowered sites available in two sections of our park. We have our large park which is open in the high season from April-October and our small park which is open in the low season, November-March.  We also use this if we get busy in the large park.

The majority of sites are drive through so there is no need to worry about awkward reversing if you are inexperienced or have a large vehicle. Sites tend to be longer than they are wide and it is first in best dressed as far as parking under the shade cloth goes. The amenities block is located in the centre of the top park, and we have two laundry rooms available for use throughout our park.

We have coin operated showers for a nominal fee and a water dispenser available 24 hours. A car wash is located in the centre of town. The Dump point is located at the entrance of the top park.

Pets are accepted in the camping and caravanning areas but must adhere to our policies, as with any park pets need to be on a lead at all times. There is a 3km walking track located opposite the front entrance called “The Triangle” if you wish to walk your pet.

We have a children’s playground available year round and a swimming pool and toddler pool available in the warmer months.

Please remember that our caravan park is in the desert and water is precious. We do not provide water connections on site. Coober Pedy produces and reticulates its own water. The water is brought in from a bore 25km North East of Coober Pedy on the Oodnadatta road via a pipeline. The water is then processed through a Desalination/Reverse Osmosis Plant.  The water quality is of an outstanding level.  This means that the water can be consumed without more consumer intervention.
